Glimpse

I caught a glimpse while looking another way
a glimpse I can't forget
of live
and love
and motive, all
my glimpse
my hope
demise

I begin to dream
not yet fantastic
but small
like waking up

I begin to think I might begin
to see what's real beneath

I caught a glimpse
and sleepless now
I move like shadow, soft
and in my dreams I fall apart
and waking I am still

I start to hear
the wind
the rain
I start to hear my heart

No longer will I shed your tears

You wronged me

impetuous you

I see now, glimpse and world and all
that I am
